So, what if I got a phone from a dude that I thought was unlocked, but it wasn’t? I need to unlock the phone, but it’s a Verizon Wireless and I have iWireless… What to do?! Who should I call. Do you think iWireless could unlock a Verizon Wireless phone?

Hi i have a problem, my blackberry curve is unlocked but i dont get any service on it, say’s “no service” and everything is shown as disabled, it was an at&t locked phone, but doesnt have any AT&T logo on the hardware but the software start up theme is AT&T, i want to put a sim card from Rogers with regular talk and text ..* no data plan…but i am getting no service..even with different sim cards

@AirCanada1211 if you have AT&T then you dont need to unlock anything. If you have someone else, then you need to find someone with AT&T and get them to let you put their sim card in your phone and so on and so forth – read the description for the solution to this dilemma.

@tootie82795 unfortunately, your and only your phone does not have an IMEI number or MEP code. You are doomed to die without unlocking your phone.
However, if you read the description, then maybe all of a sudden your phone will be magically unlocked. Or maybe you’ll just learn to read descriptions before you ask questions that are already answered so many times.

Here is my dilemma:
I am purchasing an AT&T Blackberry 8520. I have an AT&T LG Shine currently. It has service and all but I want to be able to smoothly transfer the SIM card without buying a plan for anything. If i type in the IMEI number on my current phone and go through that process, I will get the MEP code for unlocking my LG Shine (if im not mistaken)
How do I unlock the 8520?
