With the help of an extensive car kit, Viper’s SmartStart has enabled iPhone owners (and soon BlackBerry) to pop the trunk, sound the alarm, unlock the doors, and start your car from your phone. The BlackBerry app should be available in two to four weeks, with full push capabilities.
@CoolCatjd same with me! just says pending

@MaggotKumar No – you don’t need a specific service. BlackBerry Messenger should work on all BlackBerry handsets on a 3G network.
do we need to be connected to a specific service?
my phone is prepaid.
@mrmodernkillz Have you tried a couple of ways to add them? Using their number and scanning your code?
how come i cant add people when i do they dont get my request?
@flyrenagadi my guess is no cus these guys like their money… if your smart enough you might be able to idfk
good blackberry is my life man!!!!
if i have a car starter already can i ad a module to work whit it?
@S0V3R316N looks like its the blackberry tour
@VampireMagician Yes! Smartstart from your phone is password enabled, whether it be though the phone or the app itself. The point I was trying to make is the remote isn’t as secure as Smartstart as Antweezy58 would have you believe.
@Daywalkertwentyseven If you look at Vipers website on the smart start it says it has an App password so even if you lose your phone then the app is password protected so no one but people with your password can unlock your car via your phone.
@Antweezy58 Until someone steals your remote. At least with your phone it can be locked, disabling anyone else from gaining access to your remote or the phone itself.
Indecently you need more then just command start to steal the car, no key in ignition car doesn’t go anywhere.
@S0V3R316N blackberyy bold 9700
The unneccesary shit ppl are interested in.
@sidhucer00789 hahahahaha

Hi. I saw on a website that the only blackberry carrier it works with is at&t is that true? I have a blackberry with a different carrier and would like to get this alarm…can someone please answer my question. Thanks i would greatly appreciate it
this is a new way for theivies to steal people’s car
Well Good for you, Maybe you go the update but i didn’t and many of us didn’t as well.
go to the Apps Store and see all the reviews about the Viper Apps when people waiting for the update for Direct.
i have the iPhone version and its 2way, it tells me that the car received the signal, and the alerts feature for when someone breaks into my car is on its way, i have a 5902 as well, the same features on my 2way will be on my phone.
I agree with you yakuzahi, is just like another remote, is way too expensive and has the same fuctions as my two others remotes….
I must say that this is not so great because it’s only 1 way from the phone to your car. I have the viper 5902 with a “1 mile range” but what happens when I’m out of the 1 mile range? The smartstart does not give you a text or push message when something is wrong with the car, and I think that this is what is most important; the ability to tell if something is wrong with your car when you are away from it.
i get discounts! nothing better than being a retailer
Definitely need this for Android….They trippin by not having it for US yet!!!
