*** This still works after the recent 2.3.340 update!*** If you have already rooted, then simply unroot, download the update. The root the phone again (click permanent root). I just did that proccess on my droid and z4root still worked fine. *** z4root is no longer on the “Market”*** Follow these instructions to download it on your phone. Go to 4shared.com on your phone and type in z4root.apk in the search engine u will find it click on regular download wait for 30secs and then click download and it will start downloading Using z4root to successfully root Droid X (and others) running 2.2 (froyo) software. i was scared of screwing up my phone and tab because i read all the complicated ways other people go about rooting….i dont even know i what rooting was but in 10 minutes i had my tab running off my phone …and just as fast as it was off the modem……GREAT APP…..calicajun….ill send money oh and your film was the key walking me thru it thanks

Corradokid05 I gotta say ur the real deal man. I was able to root my droid2 following ur instructions with no problem at all, the only issue I had was finding the wireless tether app. It seems its no longer on the android market but I was able to get it off a website wen I searched wireless tether . Im out of town right now wit no internet connection and im a big gaming guy so now I got an internet connection to kill zombies all day
