Here you will learn how to change your trackball color! You can make it whatever color you like. THINGS YOU NEED: -Blackberry 8xxx phone -Tweezers -Scotch (clear) tape -Sharpie marker -Scissors STEPS: -Remove the silver piece. There are three prongs. You must be careful, because it is fragile, and if you break it, you are screwed. -The trackball comes right out -Color a piece of tape with a sharpie marker …TO BE CONTINUED…… NOTE: The Blackberry Pearl has a program you can use to change the color of the trackball. This is because with the Pearl, the trackball is lit up by the screen. This is not the case with the Curve, so you must follow these instructions to change the color.

i broke my track ball but i did buy a black one at ebay i just broke the bb curve and took out that track ball and it worked

@KillerNumberX but if they dont sell blackberrys with those trackballs it would mean you opened it to change it so tht should void warranty, right?

if u carry this phone in ur pocket, i can see the trackball going bad. other than that i think i prefer the trackball over the new track pad. just my opinion. feels like you have more control with th trackball. the track pad seems touchy.
